About Me

I study/teach American politics and public policy. In the Political Science Department (in Stockton) I teach many of the American politics courses. In the Public Policy Program at Pacific’s McGeorge School of Law (in Sacramento), I teach policymaking and policy analysis, including econometrics.

What you really need to know about me, though, is that I am a nerd and a geek, I love riding my bikes (yes, plural), I root for the Oakland A’s, my spouse is an Episcopal priest, I have two kids (one in college on the East Coast), and I like beer and black licorice (though not together, which would be gross).

Here’s my C.V.

My course syllabi can be found here.

My publications can be found here.

You can see some of my amateur photography here. (Be kind. I’m still learning.)
